What size are your cards and do they say anything inside?
Folded, the cards are all A6 in size, and all are blank inside so you have plenty of room to write whatever message you like
What paper are your cards printed on?
All cards and envelopes are 100% recycled paper with a bright white finish. Due to the nature of recycled paper, you may see a fleck or two of its previous life showing through, but we think this adds to the character and story of the product. The ink used has a silky finish so the cards have a slight shine, whilst still maintaining their recyclability credentials. No need for a plastic coating here
Do you make your products yourself?
Everything is hand designed by Sophie, using varying painting and creative techniques. Most commonly watercolour.
All lino printed artwork are original pieces that have been hand carved and printed by Sophie, some pieces of watercolour art are original pieces and will say if this is the case on the listing.
For all other artwork and products:
After the design has been painted, it is edited to create either the perfect pattern, or the best composition digitally. To get the perfect professional finish, the production of most items is outsourced to close by, UK based companies that have the same ethical and eco values as Sophie. This means by buying something here, you're helping to support other UK small businesses too.
What does FSC certified mean?
Any paper products I use are all FSC certified, to find out more about what this means, please visit www.fsc-uk.org
My product arrived in plastic, is this eco friendly?
All packaging that looks like plastic is in fact made from bio degradable vegetable starch. This is a second hand material therefore has already been recycled to create the packaging.
Please see the info below from the suppliers website:
'All our biofilm (and cellophane) bags are fully biodegradable and compostable which means that they break down to CO2 and water which can then be reused in the eco system to make new plants. This will happen in either in home or commercial composting or landfill. They will still break down to CO2 and water but in commercial composting the temperature will be higher and the process is much quicker. In a colder home composter it will just take longer.'
This includes any stickers on the bags or on tissue paper.
Where are you based?
My home studio is in Chester, Cheshire. I am often at local markets in the North West where you can see my products in real life before buying. Regular markets include Chorlton, Liverpool & Didsbury Makers Markets
Do you sell your items to wholesalers?
I do. If you are a buyer and this is something you are interested in, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for pricing and more information.
